All group and aqua fitness classes follow the safety guidelines of AFAA, ACE, ACSM, and AEA, the primary certification organizations of the fitness industry. All instructors are certified by at least one of these agencies. The classes are taught as described below, but instructors do demonstrate modifications to make the movements easier and/or more challenging. Appropriate footwear is recommended for all group fitness classes, including aqua classes to cushion the feet, knees and back and to provide the feet from abrasion. Speed-appropriate motivating music is used for all classes. Remember to drink plenty of water before, during and after your workouts.
